Responsible Gambling
Last updated: July 19, 2026
SlotSurvivor is an independent review and information site — we do not operate any casino or accept wagers. Gambling should always be entertainment, never a way to make money or solve a financial problem. This page outlines some general good practices and where to find support if gambling stops feeling fun.
Before You Play
- Only gamble with money you can afford to lose, and treat it as an entertainment expense, not an investment.
- Decide on a time and money budget before you start, and stick to it.
- Never chase losses by increasing your stakes to try to win back what you’ve lost.
- Don’t gamble when you’re upset, stressed, or under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
- Only play at casinos that are licensed in a recognized jurisdiction and offer clear terms.
Signs Gambling May Be Becoming a Problem
Consider stepping back and seeking support if you notice yourself:
- Spending more time or money on gambling than you intended;
- Gambling to escape stress, boredom, or negative emotions;
- Lying to others about how much you gamble;
- Borrowing money, or using money meant for bills, to gamble;
- Feeling anxious, irritable, or unable to stop when you try to cut back.
Tools You Can Use
Most licensed casinos offer tools to help you stay in control, including:
- Deposit limits — cap how much you can add to your account over a given period;
- Loss/wager limits — cap how much you can lose or bet over a given period;
- Time-out / cool-off periods — temporarily pause your account;
- Self-exclusion — block yourself from an operator, or from all licensed operators in some jurisdictions, for a longer period.
These tools are set directly with each casino operator, not through SlotSurvivor — look for a “Responsible Gambling” or “Safer Gambling” section in the operator’s account settings or footer.
Age Restriction
Gambling is restricted to adults who have reached the legal age in their jurisdiction. If you are underage, please do not attempt to access gambling content or services.
Where to Get Help
If gambling is affecting your life, free and confidential support is available. Depending on where you live, this may include:
- [National or regional problem-gambling helpline — phone number]
- [National or regional problem-gambling helpline — website]
- [Self-exclusion scheme covering licensed operators in your jurisdiction, if one exists]
A licensed operator’s own site will typically also list the support organizations relevant to its license.
